Judie Moffett, Executive Director

As Co-founder of POWER, Inc., Judie had a vision after her car crash in 1994 that left her a T-4 paraplegic and has since committed to serving as a positive representative of people with physical disabilities. Her favorite motto is "Never put a question mark where God puts a period", and with that in mind she hasn't allowed her physical challenges to hinder her involvement in community volunteerism and simply living life to the fullest.

Ms. Moffett was honored as one of the 12 "Stars Over Longview" at Longview Regional Medical Center's annual Constellation Awards Luncheon in 2005 and was featured in the "Stars Over Longview" calendar for the month of October, which is National Disability Month. She serves as a board member of the East Texas Center for Independent Living in Tyler and the Greater East Texas Zonta women's organization also. She has served on the Longview Police Department Citizens On Patrol and was certified in their Volunteer Ticketing Program with 4 other POWER members. Judie was once a Think First VIP Member (Voice of Injury Prevention) when the program was offered through Good Shepherd Medical Center and has since been asked to speak at numerous venues including AMBUCS, United Fund of Kilgore, Sam's Club, Women in Longview, St. Mary's Catholic School and Kilgore College.

Chris was diagnosed with spinal cerebral degeneration in 1998 and didn't waste any time looking the bull in the eye and returning to the active and fulfilling life he knew. One year later he joined Wheelin' Sportsmen and appeared on numerous televised broadcasts about hunting with a disability. Chris founded Challenged Outdoorsmen in 2001 and served as President until 2005 when he felt the need to expand in the types of events and programs offered. He liked the activities and clinics he saw at the POWER Sports Fest teamed with the diversity of the participants with disabilities and is now serving as POWER Team Director.

Chris works as a Wilderness Survival/Education instructor for SOS School of Survival and has been involved in many organizations including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Disabled American Sportsmen, Arkansas Waterfowl and Boy Scouts of America. He will be in charge of the POWER Pro Staff Program offering fishing, camping, hunting and other outdoor recreation.



Sharon Graves, Treasurer

Sharon Graves has been a CPA for over twenty years. Sharon graduated from University of Texas - Tyler in 1985 and became a CPA in 1988. She worked in private practice with her husband, Randy Graves, until 2006, when she joined Clinical Partners, PA. After volunteering at the annual Sportsfest more than five years ago, she became involved with POWER, Inc. year-round and has served on the board since.

For years Sharon has been an active volunteer in the community and has served on the boards of Longview Child Development Center, Longview Federated Clubs, Zonta Club of Longivew and Zonta Club of Greater East Texas.

Sharon has been a dedicated volunteer for POWER for years and we are thrilled to have her share her expertise in this important position!
