- OUR PREMIER EVENT -

Our premier function, the Adaptive Sportsfest, is a daylong event held annually at beautiful Lake Gladewater in Gladewater, TX. As with all POWER events, it is free for people of all ages with disabilities and their guest(s). Sponsors, vendors and participants come from as far away as the Houston and Dallas areas for a day filled with fun and laughter. We provide “burgers and dogs” for every attendee that day courtesy of some amazing “grill-masters” that volunteer their time and equipment each year! One highlight is the water-skiing clinic that is offered through the hiring of Texas Adaptive Aquatics, which specialize in providing adaptive water recreation for those with disabilities. A few other Sportsfest activities are an archery clinic, hand-cycling, pier fishing, air rifle training / competition and a kayak clinic. This event alone draws nearly three-hundred people each year and has continually grown over the past twelve years.

Corporate Sponsors and donors are needed. We would like to kindly ask for your financial support to help us continue our mission. Click below to view our sponsorship form showing the various levels. Any support you can provide is tremendously appreciated and help us not only with this annual event but with our activities throughout the year.

Thank you for your time and assistance!

"It's not in everyone's blood to ride down a 10 ft. ramp or drop into a half
pipe on a wheelchair as it is for my son, but it is within us to be with people
we can relate to; to know you are not alone and to learn from each other. Camping, fishing, kayaking, basketball, waterskiing: the opportunities are endless. Doing sports & activities with other wheelers has boosted my
son's self esteem and shown him that there is nothing in this world that
he can't conquer."

~Amber Tinsley speaking of her son, Connor who happens to have spina bifida.

Calling all wheelers & walkers...
